We Offer
Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) Provide the Following Services:
- Evaluation of factors affecting activities of daily living (ADL), including education, work, play, leisure, social participation, performance skills, motor, process, and communication/interaction skills. An occupational therapist can determine which critical life skills your child needs to strengthen.
- Skilled interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
- Modification of environments (home, work, school, or community). An occupational therapist can implement modifications to make your child’s home, work or school environments safer.
- When appropriate, patient training in self-care, self-management, home management and community/work reintegration.
- Assessment, design, fabrication, application, fitting and training in assistive technology, adaptive devices, orthotic devices, and training in the use of prosthetic devices.
- Assessment and training in techniques to enhance functional mobility including wheelchair management.
- Management of feeding, eating, and swallowing to enable eating and feeding performance.
- Education and training of individuals, including family members, caregivers, and others who directly interact with your child.
- Care coordination, case management and transition services to appropriate care and educational providers such as your child’s daycare provider or teacher.
- When appropriate, consultative services to groups, programs, organizations, or communities to enhance your child’s occupational performance.
